A complete guide

You need a more complete solution

Sonotel is good to get your calls forwarded to another number. However, if you are looking for an effective solution to manage your business calls, Sonotel is not the best choice because they lack many essential phone system features. For example, they do not provide a CRM integration, call reporting, or Interactive Voice Response, along with many other missing features. Many other providers exist on the market that offer a more complete solution for small and medium sized businesses.

Pros

Sonetel provides a good call forwarding solution.

Cons

Sonetel’s solutions lack many essential features to effectively manage business calls.

You need more affordable pricing

Sonetel’s packages and pricing are confusing and not very transparent. Once you select the base plan of $13.95 per user or $4.99 per number, there are many fees added on based on where your calls are being forwarded and the number of minutes. All these extra charges can become expensive, and you will never be sure of what your bill will end up being. If you are a small or medium sized company, it’s better that you find a solution that has more transparent pricing.

Pros

Sonetel’s base prices are affordable.

Cons

Sonetel’s pricing is not very transparent and includes per minute calling fees.

You need something easy to use and set up

Business communication has a history of being complicated. It is important to choose a modern solution that is easy to start and simply to use. You should be able to set up a cloud phone system in 3 to 5 minutes and a more advanced contact center solution within 15 minutes. If this is not the case with Sonetel, it would be best to look for another provider so you don’t waste time in complex implementation.

What is the best alternative to Sonetel?

If you’re looking for prepaid plans that you can budget for, Sonetel may not be a good idea. Since the plans charge a per minute call-forwarding fee, every month has a different bill. This also makes it difficult to differentiate between the plans. That’s why you should explore alternatives provided by Sonetel competitors like Ringover. They have an all-in-one solution that’s well-suited to small and medium sized businesses.
