[Dashboard] Sending and receiving text messages with a shared mobile number (collaborative texting)

Support Home page > Messaging > [Dashboard] Sending and receiving text messages with a shared mobile number (collaborative texting)
The feature, that we call “collaborative texting” 💬 allows you to provide multiple users with a common mobile number!
You will be able to set up a customer service by SMS and your teams can therefore be more reactive to ensure better follow-up 🤝 with your clients.

When a text message comes in 📩, all team members to whom you have granted rights will be able to read the message and respond.

Step 1: Assign a shared mobile number through an IVR

Step 2: Send text messages from a shared number

Step 1: Assign a shared mobile number through an IVR

First verify that you have at least one mobile number available on https://dashboard.ringover.com/ivrs to assign this number to one of your IVRs:

Under IVR configuration 🖊️, you can add users and groups under the “SMS settings” section:

By clicking on the “bubble” icon above, you can allow users and/or groups to send text messages. If the icon is grey ❌, they will only be able to read text messages:
